Our volunteers care for horses, maintain the ranch, help in the office, raise funds, and serve on our board of directors. If you like ranch work and caring for horses, we have a place for you. If you want to help with marketing, fund-raising, or general office work, we need you too!
We have Volunteer Days every Wednesday and Saturday from 9AM to 2PM. In order to ensure the safety of both humans and horses, new volunteers must participate in an orientation session, where they will learn how we muck stalls, clean and fill water tanks, groom and care for horses, and do ranch maintenance.
You must be at least 9 years old to volunteer with us. Volunteers between 9 and 15 must volunteer with an adult who is also volunteering and has attended orientation. We ask that children and adult work closely together at all times.
To register, fill out this Volunteer Application and complete our Agreement for Release of Liability. Once submitted, an invitation to the Orientation will be emailed to you.

Orientation starts promptly at 10am. We cannot accomodate late-comers so please arrive 10 minutes early to park and take care of paperwork.

To be eligible for handling class, you must have volunteered at least 3 days with no less than 10 hours.
We are not open for drop-by or walk-in visits. Please call The HPL at 303-216-0141 for an appointment.
Local school and church groups, scout troops, and corporate teams often help with completing special projects at the ranch. We are very grateful for these group contributions because they get so much done, so quickly!
